Why Train With Us?
Our course is designed to give our students intensive tuition from top industry professionals. Our emphasis is to provide each student with a strong skill base and the confidence and professionalism required to work in the field of their choice. Whilst at the Makeup School you will learn to work as a team and at the end of your training you will leave with your starter kit and photographs of your work. Makeup and hair artists have become in great demand as the industry continues to grow in New Zealand. Our desire to open The Makeup School comes from our difficulties in finding well trained and confident makeup and hair artists.		We feel the need to raise the standard of training available in NZ to a new level allowing our graduates a better chance at positive employment in this industry. By choosing The Makeup School you will experience first hand tuition from makeup designers who have achieved the highest status and continue to work on leading jobs in this country.

What Are The Employment Prospects?
In our experience, makeup artists rarely regret choosing this creative, challenging and often well paid job. Whichever area you choose to work in you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled industry technicians and well known actors.		This profession may also allow you to travel internationally and gives you the control of where and when you work as a freelance artist or you can opt for employment in a more permanent position. A positive attitude along with your professional work standards will be the key to creating a reputation that will keep you in regular employment

What are the Entry Requirements?
The Makeup School courses do not require previous experience. Please note that to apply for one of our courses you need to be at least 16 years old, in good health with normal colour vision. There is no upper age limit.		A background in cosmetology, art, hairdressing and related fields are helpful but not essential. If you are already a trained hairdresser you will find it a great advantage.

What are the enroLment and payment procedures?
To enroll prospective students must first contact the school to arrange an interview. Once accepted, you must submit a completed application form along with a non-refundable registration fee of NZ$200 to secure your place on the course. We can offer all our students payment installment options over the course period. This is subject to conditions discussed with students upon application.		It is recommended that students complete the enrollment process at least 4 weeks prior to the commencement date for the full time course.

What do I get on completion of the course?
When you satisfactorily have completed one of our courses you will be awarded the relevant Makeup School Diploma. These diplomas are recognised by industry professionals.

What is the Course Fee and what is included?
The Full Time course fee is NZ$9,500 inc gst. For all other short courses and workshops please contact The Makeup School for more information. You will receive at the beginning of the course a makeup kit for you to use during your training, which you take with you on graduating. The school will supply an extensive range of makeup/hair products and equipment for your use.		Any day trips or guest speakers/ demonstrators costs are included in your course fees. You will also received a disc of your completed work a the end of your course.
